Job Description

Primary Duties:

  • Deep Knowledge and understanding of AMI behaviors, practice them, train others, and promote it;
  • Practice and promote all HR policies and procedures regarding hiring, training, certification and disciplinary actions
  • Make decisions based on data to support KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, and cost;
  • Cooperate with all other departments so the plant meets all safety, quality, delivery, and cost KPI's
  • Balance daily master schedule downloads to plant with line capacity to create an executable production schedule for finished goods, glass, screens.
  • Interfaces with purchasing, Engineering, Vendors, and Plant Department personnel to coordinate schedule compliance and shipping of materials.
  • Schedules, expedites, and coordinates the delivery and movement of critical material.
  • Responsible for purchasing raw material
  • Actively involved in decision making and communication with affiliated production plants as well as internal contact with management staff.
  • Coordinates Buyout glass purchases and works closely with Receiving to verify Temper glass delivery and processed out through IG line.
  • Responsible for recreating facility reports to corporate level
  • Generate WinIG Reports for fellow departments: Glass Yields, Glass Requirements for doors and Windows
  • Manage and create IG Schedules- Responsible for accurate organization and identification
  • Reviews and find root causes for remake IG units
  • Internal Customer Service for production
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required:

  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish), written and oral.
  • Experience in manufacturing or production planning/scheduling/control
  • Ability to lift occasionally and 15-50 lbs. frequently during the shift.
  • Computer experience
  • Proficient in MSExcel
  • Strong communication and attention to detail skills.
  • Good problem solving ability and math skills.
  • Must be dependable and responsible.
  • Fluent in English language (written/oral).
  • Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Equipped with proper attire appropriate to entering production area, including, PPE -- safety glasses, steel-toed safety shoes, and hearing protection.
