Job Description

In TAL’s Group Life & Retirement (GL&R) team, you’ll help enable the partnerships that give millions of Australians access to life insurance through their superannuation. As Team Assistant, you’ll play an important role in creating the connection, coordination and care that helps our people and partners work at their best. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to TAL’s purpose of protecting people when they need it most, supporting a team whose work helps deliver trusted insurance experiences for superannuation fund members and their families.

In this role you will:

  • Support effective leadership by coordinating diary, administrative and day-to-day priorities for the General Manager Partnerships.
  • Enable continuity across the leadership team by providing reliable Executive Assistant overflow and leave coverage.
  • Strengthen team connection by delivering responsive administrative support to the Melbourne GL&R team.
  • Coordinate partner events that create a professional, welcoming and seamless experience for external attendees.
  • Support operational efficiency by managing expenses, invoices and travel arrangements accurately and in line with policy.
  • Contribute to a high-performing team environment through proactive coordination, organisation and stakeholder support.
  • Bring experience in an administrative, coordinator or Executive Assistant support role.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan, organise and prioritise effectively while supporting multiple people and deadlines.
  • Use discretion and sound judgement when working with senior leaders, diaries and confidential information.
  • Work confidently with Outlook calendar management, with exposure to tools such as Concur or PeopleSoft valued.
  • Stay calm, proactive and collaborative in a fast-paced team environment.
