The Market Development Specialist is responsible for driving demand generation and sales growth for Beckman Coulter’s Liquid Handling Automation platforms and BioLector (Micro Bioreactor) systems across India.

This role combines market development, application expertise, and commercial support, focused on expanding Beckman Coulter’s footprint in biopharma, biotech, CRDMO, academia, and emerging research and industry segments. The role will act as a bridge between customers, sales teams, and global product groups to accelerate adoption of automation and micro bioreactor technologies.

This position reports to the Marketing Manager, India & South-West Asia and is part of the Marketing team located in Bangalore and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity for:

  • Market Analysis & Strategic Planning
    Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, define target segments, identify new growth segments, assess market potential, develop and implement localized go-to-market strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive Market Development & Growth
    Lead demand generation and market expansion activities for Micro Bioreactor and Liquid Handling Automation solutions by identifying high-growth segments and building a strong opportunity pipeline across India.
  • Sales Enablement & Commercial Support
    Partner with sales teams to deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, training, and sales tools, supporting customer engagements, proposals, and conversion of opportunities.
  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
    Build and nurture relationships with KOLs, SMEs, and decision-makers, gather customer insights, and position Beckman Coulter Life Sciences as a trusted partner for advanced workflows.
  • Application, Technical Support & Training
    Provide technical expertise and application support for Micro Bioreactor, troubleshoot customer challenges, and conduct training workshops to enable effective adoption and utilization of solutions.
  • Marketing & Thought Leadership
    Drive workshops, webinars, conferences, and industry/academia engagement activities, while sharing market insights and positioning Beckman Coulter as a leader in automation and micro bioreactor technologies.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • PhD/M.Tech/MSc in Biological Sciences/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry or related fields
  • 8+ years of extensive Technical/Applications experience.
  • Strong conceptual and practical knowledge on Liquid handling systems/Fermentation/Bioprocessing (Upstream & Downstream).
  • Adept in understanding and presenting complex workflows involving products such as centrifuges, liquid handling systems, microbioreactors that could form a part of the segment related workflows.
  • Good understanding of commercial business and its operational and financial aspects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently with minimal guidance & extend support as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • A self-motivated person who looks forward to significant field-based activity, involving 50-70% travel across India.
