Job Description

Production Operators are responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely production of water-based and UV inks, including labeling, packaging, and moving materials to designated storage locations. This role utilizes manufacturing equipment and computer systems, including SAP, to complete production transactions and support daily operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manufacture a variety of inks and ink intermediates by following standard operating procedures (SOPs), batch tickets, and safety guidelines.
  • Locate, verify, and stage raw materials and supplies required for production orders.
  • Operate mixers, pumps, filters, forklifts, and other production equipment used in the preparation, processing, packaging, and storage of products.
  • Monitor and document batch processing activities, including material additions, processing times, temperatures, and quality checks.
  • Load and unload materials and finished products while ensuring proper handling and storage procedures are followed.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work areas to support safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Safely handle chemicals and chemical waste, including hazardous materials, in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize SAP and other computer systems to complete production transactions, inventory movements, and related documentation.
  • Support other production and warehouse functions as needed to meet operational goals.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and team-oriented work environment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

  • Prior manufacturing, production, warehouse, or chemical blending experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn SAP or other inventory/production systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately follow batch instructions, SOPs, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor production issues and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime and different shifts as needed.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 90% of the workday.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding and repetitive tasks, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
