Job Title: Quality Control Specialist I – Microbial Control

Location: Portsmouth, NH, (On-site)

As a QC Specialist I in Microbial Control at our Portsmouth site, you will support efforts to reduce contamination risk and maintain a high level of environmental control across manufacturing areas. You will focus on environmental monitoring, trending, and data analysis while supporting contamination control improvements and new equipment integration. This is a hands-on, collaborative role where you will work closely with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure compliance with cGMP standards.

This role follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

What you will do

  •  Perform environmental monitoring activities and ensure compliance with site standards

  • Analyze environmental monitoring data and support routine trending activities

  • Assess environmental impact and identify potential contamination risks

  • Support investigations and root cause analysis related to contamination events and trends

  • Assist with implementing contamination control improvements across the site

  • Support integration and qualification of new equipment related to microbial control

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and enhance processes

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field required

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in microbiology or GMP manufacturing environments

  • Experience with environmental monitoring, trending, and data analysis

  • Understanding of contamination control principles and aseptic practices

  • Experience supporting investigations and identifying trends in data

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain findings clearly

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
