Schedule: 12 hours shift for full-time requiring 36 hours/week with every other weeken

This Acute Care position includes a mix of Med/Surg and Telemetry patients.
- Typical staffing ratio: 1:6
- Meditech experience preferred
- Minimum 36 hours/week, including every other weekend
How you’ll contribute
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role:
Under the direction of an RN, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administer medication. Documents patient care given.
Coordinates and incorporates the patient and family into the plan of care and delivery of care interventions, taking into consideration psychosocial/spiritual/cultural concerns.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we’re looking for
The right person who will as supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Applicants must be a graduate of a practical school of nursing. Additional requirements include:
Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing or a Compact State.
AHA BLS certification required.
Previous experience in acute care hospital setting preferred.
Hourly range: $22.20 to $29.97 per hour
