Technical Lead - Adobe Express (Presentations)

The Opportunity
We're building the Presentations feature inside Adobe Express - a product used by millions of people to tell stories, pitch ideas, and create content that moves people.
As a Tech Lead, you combine deep technical expertise with leadership to drive the development of scalable, high-impact systems. You own complex features end-to-end while mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions across teams. This role requires strong collaboration with Product and Design to shape user-focused solutions and deliver meaningful customer value.
You'd be shaping how AI and creativity come together in a product people genuinely love - from generative slide layouts and AI-powered copywriting to a real-time collaborative editing engine built on TypeScript and C++/WASM.
What You'll Do
Own architecture, design, and delivery of large-scale systems powering Adobe Express Presentations
Drive technical roadmap and partner with Product/Design to define impactful solutions
Lead architectural decisions, balancing quality, performance, and long-term scalability
Establish and enforce engineering best practices (code quality, testing, reviews)
Mentor engineers and elevate team capabilities through coaching and feedback
Lead cross-team technical discussions and align stakeholders on key decisions
Drive adoption of modern technologies, including AI/ML, in production system
What You Need to Succeed
8+ years of software engineering experience with strong ownership of complex systems
Proven experience with system design, distributed architectures, and API development
Demonstrated technical leadership, mentorship, and cross-team influence
Strong communication skills and ability to partner with multiple stakeholders
Hands-on AI/ML experience - LLMs, TensorFlow.js, or similar in production
Product mindset - you ask "does this actually help the user?" before shipping
Bonus:
You've designed and shipped production-grade LLM systems, including agent architectures and tool orchestration
Experience building AI features that required reasoning chains, memory handling, or multiagent coordination
Stack: TypeScript, Node.js, Lit, MobX, C++, WASM, Express, Firefly SDK, OpenAI, TensorFlow, Rspack, Bazel, Kubernetes, Playwright
