How you’ll make an impact in this role
Shape the future of pediatric hematology in Austin, Texas, by leading and expanding specialized thrombosis and benign hematology care within a rapidly growing, academic tertiary children's hospital.
Lead specialized clinical care for children and adolescents facing complex thrombosis, thrombophilia, and benign hematologic conditions, delivering compassionate, family-centered treatment.
Shape institutional protocols and quality improvement initiatives in pediatric thrombosis management to continuously elevate safety and care standards across the hospital.
Champion multidisciplinary collaboration with cardiology, surgery, and critical care teams to optimize anticoagulation stewardship and ensure seamless perioperative thrombosis prevention.
Mentor the next generation of medical trainees and students at Dell Medical School, fostering a culture of continuous learning and academic excellence.
Drive clinical innovation by participating in or leading research initiatives that advance the field of benign hematology and improve long-term patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with 13 expert, board certified Pediatric Hematology-Oncology physicians

What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
What additional preferences we're seeking
- Demonstrated interest or experience in thrombosis, hemostasis, or vascular medicine preferred
- Strong commitment to multidisciplinary care, education, and quality improvement
