Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) or more years work experience, or 5 years certified as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT).
- Ophthalmic technical experience in a clinical setting.
- Thorough knowledge of ophthalmic procedures and tests.
- Knowledge of medical procedures, terminology and protocols.
- Knowledge in administering diagnostic tests.
- Knowledge of specialized equipment and instruments.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education

Preferred Education
Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT), Certified Orthoptist (CO).
Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ophthalmic technical experience in a clinical setting
Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation
Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA), Fire Card (LAFD Certified)
