About Global Delivery Services

Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

Markets, BMC, AWS, Finance and Accounting, Risk Management, Procurement, People Shared Services, IT Service Delivery and IT Global Infrastructure services, are among the services offered by Enablement Services.

Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams, along with Service Lines, Core Business Services and Sectors. The team brings the desired environment, technologies and skilled teams together for facilitation, rapid prototyping and innovative thinking. The competencies offered include analytics, digital, user experience, mobile technology, infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and open innovation.

 

The Opportunity

This is a client-facing role in a rapidly growing practice, where you’ll build client relationships with key stakeholders, including management executives for some of the most globally recognized brands. It makes this the perfect place to gain a deeper understanding of complex businesses transactions, all the while recommending solutions to some of the most pressing business challenges and process inefficiencies. You'll also team with our performance improvement professionals in multidisciplinary engagements, helping major global clients transform and sustain business performance. The team is focused on leveraging emerging technologies like Robotics, AI, Advanced Analytics to enhance various Internal Audit and internal control solutions being provided to the client and actively work in building multiple tools and assets for efficient and effective client delivery. By plugging into our market-leading global network, you'll gain the experience you need to become an exceptional Risk Advisor

Our clients look for EY’s Financial Services Process & Controls advisory practice across the solutions and specifically for engagements related to Internal Audit, Process compliance and reviews, 1st Line and 2nd Line Control testing, SOX 404 and, Developing Standard Operating Procedure manuals & Enterprise Risk Management.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Client Management
    • Executive-level skills in client relationship management and the ability to hold conversations with senior management executives.
    • Partnering with onshore teams to understand client’s business & related industry issues / trends and conduct Internal audits and internal control engagements for global clients.
  • Market Leadership
    • Participate in key business development efforts
    • Take new/additional solutions to existing and new clients
    • Support multiple innovation initiatives to enhance existing solutions leveraging emerging technologies like Robotics, AI, Advanced Analytics
    • Collaborating with colleagues across multiple service lines, sharing your knowledge and experience to guide business decisions.
    • Monitoring industry news, tools and trends while suggesting potential risks, as well as opportunities to improve the way we work.
  • Quality delivery 
    • Independently manage client assignments with minimal supervision
    • Manage multiple assignments and related project teams.
    • Meet quality guidelines within the established turnaround time (or allotted budget) for assigned requests.
    • Constantly monitor project progress, manage risk and verify key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
    • Demonstrate application and solution-based approach to problem solving while executing client engagements and documenting working papers.
    • Anticipate and identify engagement related risks and escalate issues as appropriate on a timely basis.
    • Identify process gaps and accordingly provide recommendation in areas requiring improvement based on the client's business process and industry practice.
  • Operational Excellence 
    • Suggest ideas on improving engagement productivity and identify opportunities for improving client service.
    • Manage engagement budgets and ensure compliance with engagement plans and internal quality & risk management procedures. 

         People Management

  • Responsible for the performance and appraisal of direct reports, including training and developing necessary skill sets to enable them to grow in their careers.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, enabling them to meet their performance goals and successfully grow their careers. 

 

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify you must have:

    • Minimum 7 years of a “Big 4” or professional firm or professional industry experience in risk , internal audit or internal controls
    • In-depth experience in Operations, Finance or Regulatory Compliance reviews.
    • Strong academic history (degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering or similar).
    • Strong multi-project management skills.
    • Skilled at collaborating, motivating and guiding high performance teams.
    • Cognitive problem solving capabilities, quick decision making skills and ability to handle complex situations with a calm demeanour.
    • Exceptional command on spoken and written English
    • Globally mobile and flexible to travel to onsite locations
    • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to think differently and innovate
