Job Description

The Breast Health Center at Regions Hospital has an opening for a Mammography Technologist Specialist. Our Breast Health Center performs diagnostic work, breast ultrasounds, and procedures which include biopsies and seed placements to help in the diagnosis of breast cancer or other breast health problems. These exams require independent judgment and initiative, and you will work with patients of all cultures and physical conditions. Technologists get a variety of experiences and work closely under the direction of our Radiologists. We are a small dedicated team that enjoys working together, and also offer education reimbursement toward continuing education!

 

Work Schedule:

  • On Call basis
  • Monday-Friday, day shift. No weekends and closed on all major holidays.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of an AMA-accredited program of Radiology Technology or the Canadian equivalent.
  • Completion of a Mammography training program.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology.
  • Mammography Training certificate.
  • Mammography Board within one year of start date.
  • BLS certification from an AHA- or ARC-sponsored program on or before the first day of employment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of mammography experience.
  • Experience or interest in breast ultrasound.
  • Breast Board certified.
  • Trained in 3D.
