Cell/Molecular biologist
Job Description
Responsibilities
This scientist will be involved in establishing methodologies, i.e. culturing and activating primary T-cells, enriching T-cell populations, viral transductions and electroporation of primary cells, to generate CAR T-cells. He/she will also be involved in managing daily lab operations to assist other scientists with adequate resources. We seek a highly motivated and proactive individual able to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: • BS and 5+ years of experience or MS and 3+ years of experience in an academic and/or industrial setting.
• Knowledge and experience of modern laboratory methodology in cellular and molecular biology.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in T-cell culture and in vitro assay development is desirable.
• Knowledge and experience with viral based systems (lentivirus, adenovirus, or murine retrovirus) to optimize transduction of cell-lines and primary cells.
• Knowledge and experience in genome engineering (zinc fingers, TALEN, or CRISPR) is preferred.
• Excellent written, oral communication skills.
