Job Overview
Residual Value Planning and Setting: Provide RV planning scenarios for all major company planning cycles to respective business areas. Lead Residual Value setting process (including RV Steering Commitee), set RVs according to residual setting method approved and used by internal business. Monitor and track accuracy rates of successful RV setting. Quantify residual value setting effectiveness through sensitivity and scenario analysis. Consult with business partners to optimize RV drivers. Continuously update and advise on RV setting processes to improve RV setting transparency and communication to all business partners. Work closely with 3rd party vendors like ALG by providing product familiarization, typically equipped pricing information and ongoing communication to ensure ALG has the most important information to set RVs.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of the Residual Value Setting process, vendor relationship management, and the development of RVs to support Market Support Planning.
• Manage the annual RV forecast process through planning submissions and adhoc requests.
• Manage ALG vendor relationship and align with MBUSA business partners.
• Responsible for all RV management reports including recommending enhancements to the rv setting model based on historical data and sensitivity analysis.
• Manage and perform all RV setting process internal controls and rv steering committee meetings.
• Manage the audit process for RVs with external and internal auditors on a quarterly basis.
• Support and cooperate with the Sales and Remarketing Teams and coordinate efforts between Finance and Sales Department and MBFS.
Qualifications
• (accredited school) or equivalent work experience
• Must have 5-7 years (total) of experience in the following:
Business Management: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, human resource management and efficiency and process methods.
Finance: Knowledge and understanding of the implications of key financial indicators and controls and assessing impact of financial information.
Risk Management: Knowledge of fundamental business practices, concepts and techniques to protect and preserve assets and/or minimize/control loss, such as avoidance, loss prevention and reduction, retention, grouping of exposure units, and transfer. Should include knowledge of fidelity, surety, liability, property, and group related policies and coverages.
Automotive-Retail: Comprehensive Knowledge of retail processes and procedures, with emphasis in New and Pre-owned sales, accessories, service and parts.
Additional Information
Ability to break complex topics into digestible components. Ability to collect data and establish facts and identify trends and variances as well as ability integrate information from a variety of sources with varied levels of complexity.
