Overview The Financial Controller / Associate Finance Director will be responsible for oversight of Singapore media finance operations. This role supervises a Finance team based in the Philippines to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all financial processes, including billing, revenue recognition, and month-end closing. Responsibilities Supervise, guide, and review the work of a Finance team across all media finance operations. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in billing, revenue recognition, and WIP management. Oversee the month-end closing process, including journal entries and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards. Review credit notes, financial adjustments, and other accounting entries. Standardize and streamline financial processes across business units to improve efficiency and control. Establish and maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to company accounting policies and procedures. Lead regular WIP meetings with business and finance stakeholders. Oversee client, internal, and external audit processes and ensure audit readiness of all documentation. Strengthen internal control frameworks and maintain compliance requirements. Collaborate with System support team to enhance systems, automation, and reporting capabilities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity within financial operations. Qualifications Degree in Accounting/Finance or related professional qualification Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Prior experience in the media, advertising or agency industry is strongly preferred. Proven ability in financial control and process improvement Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Hands-on, detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
