Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
FLSA Status: Hourly
Summary Briefly describe the job’s primary purpose or contribution to the department or organization.
The job is to fix and maintain all equipment throughout all facilities for Cobalt Boats.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities List the job’s essential or most important functions and responsibilities. Include all important aspects for the job whether performed daily weekly, monthly, or annually and any that occur at irregular intervals.
- Fix and maintain equipment daily which would include but not be limited to:
- Being on call after production hour`s and weekends to solve any production equipment issues or building maintenance repairs. Also, willing to work a flexible schedule.
- General knowledge of building maintenance issues such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, air compressors and hoses
- General knowledge or comprehend fluid sections, spray guns and pumps
- General mechanical knowledge such as changing oil and troubleshooting issues with fleet trucks and cars
- Analyzing information given by teammates and customers and rationalize a solution to the problem
- Be able to cross train in all areas of maintenance department.
- Other duties may be assigned.

- Knowledge of CNC machines desired but not mandatory
- Electrical Certification desired but not mandatory
- HVAC Certification desired but not mandatory
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general degree (GED)
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret schematics.
Mathematical Skills: Basic Math
Computer Skills: CMMS, Microsoft Word and Excel (Preferred)
Reasoning Ability: Ability to diagnosis and solve problems on the go.
Other Qualifications: Include Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, and other skills/abilities/qualifications not listed above.
- Safely obtain licensure, operate and maintain tool, machinery, and powered equipment (forklifts, manlifts, hoists)
- Comfortable working safely at heights
- Lockout/Tagout(LOTO) compliance when servicing or maintaining equipment and training
- Success with company Fall protection training

Proper use of required PPE, including but not limited to safety glasses, hand protective gloves, ASTM-rated footwear, hearing protection, and respiratory protection when working with fiberglass, resins, solvents, coatings, and/or operating equipment, performing work inside and outside of the facility task dependent. Exposed to all weather conditions. Typical 10-hour workday with overtime without notice.
