Job Description

Responsibilities

Ash Plus is a client-centric service that was designed to enhance the placement of insurance by partnering with the nontraditional advisor and adding concierge support at the retail client level. In this role you’ll primarily focus on providing support to the agent and client/insured. This includes being the client’s advocate; reviewing existing coverage, evaluating client health, providing current life, long term care or disability insurance opportunities, completing the application with the client and following the case through policy placement. We spend approx. 85% of our time on life insurance, 10% on long term care and less than 5% on disability coverage. To be successful, you will have to:

  • Be able to quickly establish a good client rapport and provide exceptional service throughout an agent and client’s experience with us;
  • Partner with all Ash Plus agents to engage with their clients in discovery calls, fulfillment of the insurance applications and coordination of the application process;
  • Evaluate client situation and provide initial, basic underwriting evaluation;
  • Coordinate with the underwriting and marketing teams to assist with a recommendation of coverage;
  • Complete application and applicable forms directly with the client, explaining the process, and answering questions on basics of policy ownership, beneficiary designations, products and product design;
  • Frequently monitor the progress of cases, assist with the procurement of outstanding requirements, provide quality communication to clients and advisors, and document case activity within the AMS system;
  • Collaborate with Ash Plus teammates in the development of best practices and processes to enhance the efficiency and quality of the team’s services.

 

 

 

Talents and Abilities

  • Superior negotiation skills to influence successful outcomes;
  • Track record of success in fast-paced customer service environment;
  • Strong phone and computer skills – specifically Microsoft Excel and Word – with the ability to quickly learn use of our internal and carrier software;
  • Resident Life Insurance license, or able to obtain it within 6 months of starting in role;

 

 

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree plus two to three years of related experience and/or training, or …
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Additional experience beneficial:
  • Prior relationship and/or client management experience
  • Prior underwriting experience
