A foundation member of the Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GASA), Gogolook has also teamed up with a number of institutes such as the Taiwan National Police Agency Criminal Investigation Bureau, the Financial Supervisory Service of South Korea, Thai Royal Police, the Fukuoka city and Shibuya City government, the Philippines Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center, and the Royal Malaysia Police and state government to fight scam, dedicated to creating a "scam-free environment."

About the Intelligent Systems Lab (ISL)

The ISL team provides applied research and development capabilities to help achieve long-term strategic goals for Gogolook. Our typical project lifecycle is 6 months, focusing on a transition from ISL team principles to long-running applied R&D. We collaborate closely with other Gogolook teams to:

Evaluate product needs for intelligent solutions.
Propose solutions that use cutting-edge AI.
Create POCs (Proof of Concepts) to demonstrate viability. Together, ISL and Engineering teams meet both the short and long-term technology needs of the company.

Role Mission

As a Data Research Engineer, you will be a core part of the ISL Data Services competency. Your mission is to bring the data perspective to the product and facilitate the decision driven by data. You will focus on a data-centric AI approach, recognizing that personalization and model precision are enabled by superior first-party data.

Your journey at Gogolook is designed for growth. At the beginning, you will be closest to the data aspect of decisions, independently executing tasks, self-learning, verifying findings with teammates, and delivering value both efficiently and responsively. Subsequently, we expect you to transit into a visionary role, independently defining hypotheses from ambiguous market problems. You may lead advanced analysis (sensitivity, trade-off modeling) and mentor junior engineers while quantifying the ROI of data expansion initiatives, and even influence long-term data-centric investment decisions and communicate critical statistical risks directly to senior leadership.
