All about the role:

Responsible for the design, development, and validation of ventilation units for kitchen hoods. Owns assigned components from concept to industrial approval, coordinates CFD/FEM simulation activities, and supports suppliers during plastic tooling development. Requires basic understanding of simulation principles to integrate analysis results into the design process.

What you’ll do:

Design & Development

Design mechanical components and subassemblies using 3D CAD (Catia preferred).

Translate product/performance requirements into robust engineering solutions (blowers and impellers).

Integrate CFD/FEM simulation feedback into designs in collaboration with simulation experts.

Simulation Coordination

Coordinate CFD/FEM analyses for airflow, structural, and thermal performance.

Interpret simulation results at a basic level and ensure proper implementation in the design.

Component Ownership & Validation

Lead component development: prototyping, testing, validation, and approval.

Release 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications in PLM.

Ensure homologation of assigned components.

Supplier Tooling Support

Support suppliers during plastic tooling and mold development.

Participate in tooling reviews, mold flow evaluations, and trial assessments.

      

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in mechanical component design (consumer goods, HVAC, automotive, or similar).
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD (Catia preferred).
  • Basic understanding of CFD/FEM principles and common tools (Fluent, Star CCM+, Ansys, etc.).
  • Knowledge of plastic injection molding and tooling processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.

Where you’ll be:

You will be based at Hangzhou Plant in China, No. 18 Street, Qiantang District. It will be necessary to be available for national and international traveling.
