What you will have an opportunity to do:

An Opportunity to Redefine Group Hospitality in Boston

In 2027, this hotel will not simply reopen under a new name. It will emerge as one of Boston’s newest lifestyle hospitality destinations under the Tapestry by Hilton brand, a property designed to bring together culture, design, community, energy, and elevated guest experiences in a way that traditional hotels simply do not.

And we are looking for the sales professional who will help introduce that vision to the group market.

This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk responding to inbound inquiries all day. This is for the hospitality sales leader who understands that today’s meeting planners, corporate groups, associations, universities, sports teams, and social clients are searching for more than function space and guest rooms. They are looking for atmosphere, experience, flexibility, creativity, and partnership.

We are searching for the Group Sales Manager who can build relationships, drive revenue, and position this hotel as the preferred destination for meetings, events, and group travel in Boston.

If you understand how to balance relationship-driven selling with revenue strategy, if you know how to turn a site tour into a signed contract, and if you are energized by the idea of selling a newly transformed lifestyle hotel during one of the most exciting transitions in the city, this role was built for you.

The Vision: From Traditional Meetings to Meaningful Experiences

The meetings and events industry has changed. Planners are no longer simply booking ballroom space and sleeping rooms. They are curating experiences. They want properties that feel intentional, modern, connected to the city, and memorable for attendees.

Our transition into a lifestyle hotel positions us perfectly for that next era.

This 304-room property, located in one of Boston’s most historic and vibrant neighborhoods, is being reimagined into a destination where meetings feel elevated, networking feels natural, and guests feel connected to the energy of the property and the city around them.

We are not looking to compete solely on price. We are building a hotel groups will choose because the experience itself stands out.

About Pyramid Global Hospitality

Pyramid Global Hospitality is a people-first company managing over 230 properties worldwide. We are dedicated to creating a supportive, inclusive work environment that fosters diversity, growth, and wellbeing.

We offer comprehensive health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, employee hotel discounts, wellness programs, and ongoing development opportunities to help you build a career that grows alongside your ambition.

About the Property

Our hotel is a 304-room property currently transitioning into a lifestyle brand under Tapestry by Hilton. The hotel features eight flexible meeting spaces totaling 5,678 square feet and is strategically positioned to attract corporate meetings, association groups, university partnerships, social events, sports travel, and citywide business.

As part of our transformation, we are building a sales culture centered around creativity, accountability, relationship-building, and modern hospitality experiences.

Your Role: Driving Group Revenue & Building Market Presence

As Group Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating and managing group business opportunities that drive room revenue, meeting space utilization, and overall hotel profitability.

You will actively prospect, negotiate, close, and grow accounts while serving as a strategic partner to meeting planners, organizations, and clients throughout the sales process.

This role requires both strong sales discipline and the ability to bring the lifestyle brand story to life in every client interaction.

Revenue Generation & Sales Strategy

• Prospect and secure new group business opportunities including corporate meetings, association groups, SMERF, university partnerships, sports travel, and social events.

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan aligned with overall hotel revenue goals and market positioning.

• Generate group room nights and meeting revenue through proactive outbound sales efforts, networking, and relationship development.

• Negotiate contracts, pricing, concessions, and group agreements with strong financial discipline while protecting overall hotel profitability.

• Collaborate closely with Revenue Management to ensure strategic pricing and inventory management for group business opportunities.

• Participate in market blitzes, networking events, trade shows, and local industry events to increase visibility and drive lead generation.

• Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately forecast group business production.

Client Relationships & Event Partnership

• Serve as the primary sales contact for assigned accounts and group opportunities from initial inquiry through contract execution.

• Conduct engaging property tours and presentations that showcase the hotel’s transformation and lifestyle positioning.

• Build strong long-term relationships with meeting planners, event organizers, corporate clients, universities, and local organizations.

• Partner closely with Conference Services, Operations, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure a seamless client experience from booking through execution.

• Maintain consistent communication with clients to strengthen retention and repeat business opportunities.

• Monitor production and performance of existing accounts and identify opportunities for growth and expansion.

Market Intelligence & Brand Positioning

• Position the hotel as a leading lifestyle meetings and events destination within the Boston market.

• Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and evolving group travel expectations.

• Collaborate with Marketing to support promotional campaigns, sales collateral, and group/event-focused initiatives.

• Represent the hotel professionally within the local hospitality community and industry organizations.

• Help shape the property’s reputation as a fresh, experience-driven alternative to traditional meeting hotels.

Who You Are

You are relationship-driven, proactive, and energized by building business. You understand that successful hospitality sales today is not transactional, it is consultative.

You know how to build trust with planners, identify client needs, and position experiences instead of simply selling space. You are organized, competitive, and strategic, but also personable enough to turn a first meeting into a long-term partnership.

Most importantly, you understand the opportunity that comes with selling a newly transformed lifestyle property during a major brand evolution.

Required Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of progressive hotel sales experience with a focus on group sales, meetings, or event-driven business in a full-service hotel environment.

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals and securing new business opportunities.

• Experience negotiating contracts, managing group blocks, and working within hotel sales systems and CRM platforms.

• Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and responsiveness.

• Proficiency with hotel sales systems such as Delphi, CI/TY, Salesforce, STR, or equivalent platforms.

• Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and networking events as business demands require.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a lifestyle, boutique, or design-forward hotel environment.

• Existing relationships within the Boston corporate, association, university, or social event market.

• Experience supporting hotel transitions, rebrands, or repositioning efforts.

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

• Passion for hospitality, guest experience, relationship-building, and modern lifestyle branding.

Why This Role. Why Now.

This is more than filling a sales position.

This is an opportunity to help shape the commercial identity of a newly transformed lifestyle hotel entering a new chapter in one of the most competitive hospitality markets in the country.

You will have the ability to build relationships, grow market share, and directly influence how planners, organizations, and guests experience this property for years to come.

The most successful hospitality sales leaders are the ones who know how to sell more than square footage and rates. They sell energy, experience, partnership, and vision.

That is exactly what we are building here.

And we are looking for the person ready to help lead it.

What are we looking for?
