Tray Fabricator
Job Description
- Fabricate cable trays including ladder type, perforated type, and accessories.
- Perform cutting, bending, drilling, welding, and assembly of tray components.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, sketches, and material schedules.
- Mark out materials accurately as per dimensions and specifications.
- Assemble tray sections, joints, bends, tees, reducers, and fittings.
- Ensure proper alignment, dimensions, and finishing quality of fabricated items.
- Work with materials such as GI sheets, MS sheets, and aluminum where applicable.
- Coordinate with site installation team for fabrication requirements.
- Maintain fabrication tools, machinery, and workshop cleanliness.
- Follow quality standards and minimize material wastage.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures in workshop and site environment.
- 2–6 years of experience in HVAC / MEP fabrication works.
- ITI / relevant educational background.
- Strong experience in metal fabrication work (preferably cable trays / MEP works).
- Ability to read fabrication drawings and measurements accurately.
- Basic welding/fitting knowledge (TIG/MIG/arc welding advantage).
- Good understanding of measurements, angles, and alignment.
- Physically fit and able to work in workshop and site conditions.
- Willingness to work in remote locations as required.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
- Effective communication skills.
