Job Summary

We’re looking to add a/an Senior Commodity Analyst Indirect located in Perai, Penang. To lead sourcing strategy, supplier management, and cost optimization across indirect spend categories

What a typical day looks like:

• Support RFQ process, price analysis, and supplier selection for indirect spend categories

• Conduct data analysis on spend, pricing trends, and cost drivers

• Assist in negotiations and contract execution with selected suppliers

• Maintain and monitor supplier performance and delivery compliance

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (operations, engineering, finance) to clarify requirements

• Support cost savings, cost avoidance, and inventory optimization initiatives

• Analyze and report commodity risks, market trends, and sourcing opportunities

• Ensure adherence to procurement policies and processes.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or materials planning

• Experience in data analysis, RFQ handling, and supplier coordination

• Knowledge of indirect procurement or manufacturing environment preferred

• Strong analytical and numerical skills (cost analysis, pricing comparison)

• Proficiency in Excel and procurement/ERP systems
