Job Description
What We're About
At BrewBird, we believe in building a sustainable future in coffee. We’re developing a technology platform to scale the $100 billion specialty coffee market, while working with top local and national roasters to bring the highest quality cup of coffee to every home and office. BrewBird is backed by some of the world’s best venture funds. We’re a passionate team of builders who use technology to craft elegant and delightful solutions to challenging real world problems.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a scrappy, motivated Business Development Representative to help drive new business. This role is about creating pipeline from zero: figuring out who to target, getting their attention, and turning that into real conversations. You’ll play a key role in driving new customer acquisition and expanding existing accounts. We’re still early, so you won’t just follow a playbook—you’ll help build it!
What You'll Do:
Prospect and generate new leads
● Build and test target lists (e.g., mid-size offices, hospitality groups, multi-location
operators)
● Execute outbound across email, phone, LinkedIn, and creative channels
● Continuously test messaging and positioning
Book and run early-stage conversations
● Schedule and coordinate meetings and demos
● Set clear context so the sales team can run effective conversations
● Represent BrewBird clearly and confidently
Qualify opportunities
● Understand current coffee/beverage setups and pain points
● Identify real opportunities vs. low-fit leads
● Focus on quality over volume
Follow up and stay persistent
● Run consistent follow-up with prospects (before and after meetings)
● Re-engage cold or stalled leads
Support account growth
● Help identify expansion opportunities within existing customers
● Stay close to accounts where additional placements or upsell may exist
Collaborate with the team
● Work closely with sales to refine targeting and messaging
● Share what you’re hearing from the market (objections, patterns, trends)
Help build the playbook
● Test messaging and outreach strategies
● Bring ideas for how we can improve pipeline generation
● Contribute to how BrewBird scales its go-to-market motion
What We're Looking For:
● Strong communication skills — clear, direct, and human (not robotic)
● High motivation and persistence — you’re comfortable hearing “no” a lot
● Ability to think critically and adapt messaging based on what’s working
● Comfortable with cold outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn)
● Organized and able to manage multiple leads and follow-ups
● Curious and proactive — you ask good questions and learn quickly
Nice to Have:
● Experience in B2B sales, recruiting, or other customer-facing roles
● Experience working in a startup or fast-moving environment
● Interest in coffee, hospitality, or food & beverage
● Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Apollo, or similar
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, non-exempt W2 position. Pay is salaried, ranging from $70,000 - $80,000 depending on experience, with an OTE of $90,000 - $100,000. This is a hybrid role, where we expect a part of each week on-site at our San Francisco Bay Area office, with some flexibility for remote work.
At BrewBird, we put our people first. In addition to a competitive compensation package with meaningful early stage equity, we provide our employees with flexible paid time off to relax and recharge. We also offer a generous employer paid healthcare coverage, 401k plan, flexible work environment, and a commuter stipend for mass transit or parking.
BrewBird is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status, and encourage all qualified applicants to apply.
