Job Description

Lynden Logistics is looking for a motivated Dock to Class 4 Driver Trainee to support our Warehouse Operations team in Honolulu. As our Dock to Driver Trainee, you’ll help load and unload freight, support daily warehouse operations, and prepare for local delivery driving responsibilities to support safe and efficient cargo movement. This is a safety sensitive position. Pay Range:$23-26/hour Position Schedule:11am-7pm, Monday-Friday with weekend overtime opportunities What you’ll be doing: Receive, load, unload, and move freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling Inspect shipments, verify piece counts, and ensure proper labeling and documentation Secure freight for safe transport using straps, tarps, and other equipment Operate warehouse equipment and support cross-dock operations Enter shipment data and maintain accurate records in company systems Participate in hands-on training to prepare for driving responsibilities Transition into local delivery driving duties as part of the Dock to Driver program Benefits you can look forward to: Discretionary Bonus Program – Additional bonuses based on individual and company performance Healthcare – Medical, dental and vision plans with employee contributions as low as $55 for you and your family Paid Time Off – 17 days PTO, increasing with years of service Holidays – 6 paid holidays and 2 floating holidays (service center) OR 8 paid holidays (GO) Retirement Plan – 401(k) with up to 50% match on the first 6% contributed Tuition Reimbursement Program – Up to 50% reimbursement after 1 year Extras – Life Insurance, Wellness Program, AD&D, LTD, and Employee Assistance Program at no cost to you To succeed in this role, you’ll need these skills: Strong focus on safety and following procedures Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active warehouse environment Attention to detail when handling freight and documentation Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors Basic computer skills for data entry and system use Willingness to learn and grow into a driving role And these qualifications: High school diploma or GED Valid driver’s license with a good driving record Ability and willingness to obtain a Class 4 Driver’s License through company training Must be at least 21 years of age Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform frequent physical movement (standing, lifting, bending, etc.) Extra credit if you have: Previous warehouse, freight, or logistics experience Experience operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment Exposure to transportation or delivery operations We personally review all candidates and promise to respond to all applications within 5 business days of applying.
