Director, Region Sales
Job Description
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
This is a key leadership role responsible for driving profitable and sustainable market share growth across the Region channel, while strengthening and protecting the adidas brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead key strategic retail partnerships across Australia, building tailored short, mid and long term growth plans to increase market share (for example, major partners like The Athletes Foot)
- Set and deliver the wholesale (business to business) sales strategy in Australia, driving strong commercial performance and brand growth
- Manage distributor partnerships to ensure strong sales results and consistent brand representation
- Develop growth strategies for the Region and Running Specialty channels, aligned to broader Pacific and emerging markets priorities
- Build, coach and lead a high performing sales team to consistently deliver results
- Support and lead commercial negotiations, ensuring trade terms are clear, effective and consistently applied
- Oversee key performance drivers including sales into customers, sales to consumers, product availability, inventory levels and profitability, ensuring all are healthy and support growth

- Digital sales growth
- Cost management
- Inventory health
Key relationships:
- Regional stakeholders across emerging markets
- Cross functional teams in Pacific, including Brand, Customer Service, Business Development, Planning and Logistics
- External partners including retailers, distributors and sales agents

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree, preferably in business or marketing
- 10 years’ experience in sales within a large organisation, ideally within apparel, footwear, fashion or consumer goods
- Minimum 5 years’ experience leading teams and managing operations
- Exposure to areas such as sport, marketing or supply chain is beneficial
