About The Opportunity

The Production Setup Coordinator Lead ensures production lines are set up and ready to run on schedule. This role guides Setup Coordinators across shifts, ensures accurate and compliant documentation is provided to all departments, and maintains a safe, consistent, and efficient workflow. Responsible for completing production setups accurately and on time while collaborating cross-functionally to support production goals.

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position.  The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Arrive prior to shift start and communicate effectively with prior shift to ensure seamless transition of information and production status.
  • Supervise and support personnel by delegating tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring alignment to production goals.
  • Ensure all required tools, materials, and documentation (BOMs, specifications, pick lists) are accurate, available, and compliant with GMP and company policies.
  • Coordinate production setup and execution, including reviewing First Articles, verifying job readiness, and removing materials at end of runs.
  • Monitor and maintain production supplies and inventory levels; perform counts, order supplies, and resolve shortages or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Logistics, Engineering, Scheduling, Supply Chain, and Label Room to ensure efficient workflow, minimal downtime, and high-quality output.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and system updates (WMS), including production reconciliations and investigation of discrepancies.
  • Support production operations by assisting leaders with material needs, rework activities, and overall floor readiness across all shifts.
  • Oversee and standardize setup processes, including supervising coordinators, ensuring timely setups, and transferring accurate information between shifts.
  • Promote a safe and compliant work environment by enforcing safety standards, training personnel on equipment use, and maintaining certifications (e.g., forklift operation).
  • Maintain effective communication through email and other channels to provide timely updates on production changes or issues.
  • Perform operational checks (e.g., radios, equipment readiness) to ensure functionality and efficiency.
  • Work extended hours, including weekends, as needed to support production demands.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • Associates degree preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Lean practices and standardized processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
  • Attention to detail, including ability to read and verify labels, lot numbers, and expiration dates

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting with some time spent in an office setting
  • Frequent walking and sitting required.
  • Occasional lifting minimum 20 pounds

The starting rate for this position is $26.00/hr
