Job Description

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 + MyShare Equity

 

The SOP Specialist is responsible for auditing, creating, documenting, and enforcing the step-by-step processes required to manage Warehouse Operations. They act as the vital bridge connecting a company's business goals with the daily execution of the Warehouse.

 

Reporting to the Manager of Operational Standards & Process Excellence, this position drives and verifies process standardization and compliance across staging, quality control (QC), warehouse health reporting, exception management, and core execution workflows. The Specialist ensures operational procedures are not only documented but also deeply embedded, regularly audited, and systematically sustained across all shifts.

 

This role serves as the authority on operational standards and partners closely with Warehouse Operations, Retail Consolidation, OP, HR, and IT to eliminate variability and elevate performance across the network.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain all warehouse operational SOPs and process standards.
  • Govern process compliance and accountability.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Identify and eliminate process variability across facilities.
  • Lead process mapping, redesign, and optimization initiatives.
  • Evaluate process effectiveness and adjust standards based on measurable results.
  • Partner with Innovation & Implementation to implement new processes.
  • Diagnosing process breakdowns and implementing corrective frameworks.
  • Ensure new initiatives are operationalized with clear documentation, training, and accountability measures.
  • Assist in training and knowledge gap closure for the warehouses in SOPs

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Champion fluid communication, collaboration, and continuous learning/improvement initiatives
  • Understand requirements and how they translate in application features.
  • Demonstrate commitment to quality and implementing best practices.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify and solve complex business problems.
  • Curate business requirements for complex multi-function application projects.
  • Help identify alternate solutions, perform cost benefit analysis, and feasibility studies.
  • Help identify risks and develop mitigation strategies and tactics.
  • Provide input on project schedule and accurate estimation of project deliverables.
  • Experience System testing data integrations, solutions and feature enhancements and able to coordinate/simulate user acceptance testing.
  • Bi-lingual in both English and Spanish is preferred.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or any related field required
  • Knowledge of basic Microsoft Suite skills is required.
  • SQL knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with Visio is preferred.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle is a plus.
  • Experience with Synapse or similar WMS software is preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in a Warehousing or Logistics continuous improvement/operations or related role is preferred.


Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment will range from quiet to moderately loud.
  • TRAVEL: This job requires travel between facilities and will primarily be an in-office role with some ability to work remote from time to time. Out of state travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
