Job Description
Job Summary:
Involves patient care services for a range of mental health disorders, often severe including major depressive disorders, paranoia, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder. Settings may be inpatient, outpatient or clinical research studies. Patient care may be provided by a combination of licensed clinicians, as well as counselors and crisis intervention specialists. Patients typically require routine assistance, treatment or a specialized and controlled environment. Primary emphasis on treatment and attempt where possible to help patients control their own lives in the outside world, with the use of a combination of psychiatric drugs and psychotherapy.
McAuley Counseling Enriched Education Program (CEEP), located within UCSF Health’s Stanyan Hospital. CEEP is an intensive outpatient therapeutic and educational environment designed for middle and high school students who require a structured, trauma-informed setting to make meaningful emotional, behavioral, and academic progress. Our multidisciplinary team of therapists, psychiatric providers, nurses, educators, and quality assurance staff works together daily to create a cohesive therapeutic milieu that emphasizes consistency, clear boundaries, and high support.
The McAuley Counseling Enriched Education Program fosters student success in academic and community settings through evidence-based, motivational systems within a therapeutic environment. We provide comprehensive support for adolescents, empowering them to navigate challenges, excel academically, and achieve independence.

Minimum Requirement:
- Master's degree in related area or equivalent experience.
- Valid California LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC license.
- 3 + yrs related work experience.
- Strong skills in providing individual and group behavioral therapy, behavioral analysis and / or educational interventions.
- Strong knowledge of applicable laws and ethical standards associated with profession.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication. Demonstrated active listening, persuasion and counseling skills.
- Strong skills in collaborating with heath care providers, PIs and community partners.
- Knowledge of business software, specialized applications and EHR systems used in behavioral health clinics / clinical departments.
- Experience providing counseling with adolescents and their families.
