This is a non-union positionTake a vital part in supporting the North Central Region’s success by directing the planning, coordination, and delivery of capital and operational programs. You will partner with various functions to align priorities, boost performance, and ensure projects finish safely, efficiently, and fully meet regulatory and company guidelines.
What you will do:
Lead the planning and implementation of Capital and O&M programs, aligning work with regional priorities and business objectives.
Collaborate with Risk Management and Asset Management to assist with budget creation and asset sustainability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to effectively manage and deliver the Capital/O&M project portfolio.
Coordinate financial forecasting, monitor variances, and communicate insights to finance partners and regional leadership.
Ensure clear communication of regional priorities across key collaborators, including Operational Risk and Asset Management.
Review and approve project compliance documentation, tracking progress through to project closeout.
Mentor and guide analysts and team members, encouraging consistency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Support audits and ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, O&M manuals, and external regulatory requirements.
Lead special projects and provide direction in support of regional leadership priorities.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical, business, or financial field with 7+ years of project or operations experience in the energy industry.
Strong understanding of project execution, cost management, regulatory requirements, and financial forecasting.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the capability to direct teams and manage cross-functional projects in fast-paced settings.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with internal collaborators, contractors, and third parties.
Strong analytical, technical, and decision-making capabilities, with experience in risk analysis and problem-solving.
Understanding of gas transmission or field operations, with the capability to manage operational priorities and changing demands.
Highly organized with demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement, resolve conflict, and influence outcomes across all levels of the organization.
Physical Requirements:
Include but are not limited to balancing, bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, and carrying objects up to 45 pounds. Grasping, kneeling, lifting objects up to 45 pounds, pulling hand over hand, pushing, and reaching above the shoulder are also required. Additionally, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, and visual and hearing abilities are necessary. Visual requirements include seeing screens, detecting color coding, and reading fine print.
Mental Requirements:
Include but are not limited to: Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral or written instructions. Understand complex problems and explore alternative solutions collaboratively. Coordinate thoughts and ideas into clear terminology. Prioritize and manage a short-term work schedule. Make decisions that significantly impact the immediate work unit and monitor effects beyond it. Follow basic instructions and guidelines. Complete routine forms, compose letters and outlines, develop and interpret both basic and complex reports. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally at various levels.
