Role Purpose

The Proposal Manager is responsible for leading the development of high-quality, customized proposals for pharmaceutical CDMO projects. This role ensures proposals align with client requirements, company capabilities, and strategic objectives, driving business growth and client satisfaction.

Position Title: Proposal Manager for CDMO

Department: Business Development / Customer Development

Location: Budapest

Reports To: Head of Proposition Management

Key Responsibilities

·       Proposal Development & Strategy

o   Manage the end-to-end proposal process for complex CDMO projects.

o   Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technical, regulatory, finance, operations, BD) to design tailored solutions.

·       Client Engagement

o   Serve as the primary contact during the proposal phase, clarifying requirements and negotiating scope, lead the customer visits and CAP calls (Custom advisory plan).

·       Content Ownership

o   Prepare comprehensive proposals including technical approach, timelines, costing, supports pricing, and risk mitigation strategies.

·       Governance & Compliance

o   Ensure proposals meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.

·       Performance Metrics

o   Monitor KPIs such as win rate, proposal turnaround time, and client feedback.


Skills & Qualifications

·       Strong strategic and analytical mindset.

·       Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.

·       Ability to translate customer and market insights into actionable business opportunities.

·       Financial acumen and understanding of pricing and profitability.

·       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or related field.

·       Minimum 3-5 years of experience in proposal management, project management, marketing or commercial strategy within pharma or CDMO environment.

·       Strong understanding of drug development and manufacturing processes.

·       Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.

·       Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
