We are looking for a self-initiated, independent, and solution-oriented person for the Application Engineer position. In this role, you will prepare quotations and support both contract and area sales in various paper and board machine technologies and processes, focusing primarily on Intelli Technologies, but not limited to. Your main responsibilities include preparing customer quotations and supporting the area and contract sales teams both in EMEA and globally. You will work as part of the sales support team in close cooperation with sales managers, engineering, project managers, and procurement. 

Your tasks and responsibilities in the role:

• Sales Support for Intelli and other technologies.

• Prepare field service quotations, including solution and technical scope definition, technical calculations, preparation of sales documents and technical proposals as well as cost calculations.

• Meetings and technical negotiations with internal and external customers.

• Technical support and co-operation with global functions and other sales organizations

• Co-operation with team and creating a good atmosphere.

• Actively search for new development needs in customer processes and our way to operate.

 What We Expect From you?

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree preferably in Mechanical engineering, Paper or process technology.

• Experience in paper and board machine technology and/or field services

• Knowledge and previous experience for Intelli technology is required, experience for Valmet legacy technologies are an advantage.

• Analytical skills and ability to run with swift & fact-based decisions

• High level of commitment and proactive approach

• Good teamwork and networking skills

• Service attitude to build trust and co-operate with different stakeholders inside and outside of Valmet

• Fluent Polish and English, both spoken and written, other language skills are an advantage

• Willingness to travel occasionally as required
