Job Description

The Assistant Director provides operational, programmatic, or, strategic support for the Division of Philanthropy. Serves as main point of contact for internal stakeholders.

This position's work location is fully remote with occasional time on-campus in Brookline, MA. The selected candidate may only work remotely from a New England state (ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI).

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•  Operational and Programmatic Support: Manage operations and programs for a functional area within the Division of Philanthropy.
•  Reporting and Data Management: Serve as a “super user” of our databases and reporting tools. Demonstrate expertise with and understanding of the best uses of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other management information, productivity, and tracking systems used by the Division of Philanthropy. Maintain confidentiality.
•  Communication: Independently manage correspondence, reports, and presentations specific to the functional area you work. 
•  Other Duties as Assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: 
•  Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong proofreading skills. 
•  Organization: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Solid organizational, project management, and multi-tasking abilities skills, with an aptitude for prioritizing tasks. Strong attention to detail. Effective and efficient time-management abilities. Strong ability to be resourceful and self-initiate tasks.
•  Judgement: Exceptional ability to exercise judgement, maintain confidentiality, and act with discretion when working with a variety of stakeholders. 
•  Data Analysis: Ability to collect, organize, and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can be used for decision-making. 
•  Computer Literacy: Strong knowledge of development databases, and Microsoft Office applications, with excellent Excel skills.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Minimum Experience: 4+ years of relevant work experience.

License/Certification/Registration: None

Pay Transparency Statement

The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.

For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

$85,900.00 - $103,600.00
