What is the opportunity?

RBC is the leader in Business Markets in Canada and has leading market share in Deposits, Foreign Exchange and all payment volumes. The Senior Director, Liquidity Management Transformation will hold accountability for the Business Deposits product management, inclusive of deposits strategy, execution, total relationship pricing and profitability. Reporting directly to the SVP, Commercial Deposits, Cash Management and Channels, you will lead the lead the end-to-end transformation of Liquidity management capabilities (Virtual Accounts, cash concentration, pooling, sweeping, intraday liquidity) across Commercial and Corporate Banking. This includes owning delivery of target-state operating model, technology platforms, and client propositions that optimize deposits, payments, fees, NIM, and client liquidity efficiency. You will maintain our leadership position with advanced AI and digital capabilities across the deposits, cash management and channels business.

What will you do?

  • Develop and articulate a compelling journey-level vision that aligns with the business's strategic goals, OKRs, and transformation objectives.

  • Guarantee the consistency and quality of the customer experience across all channels and touchpoints, ensuring seamless and intuitive interactions.

  • Provide strategic direction to Product Owners, ensuring alignment and integration across multiple products within the journey.

  • Define Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and develop incremental release plans to deliver value iteratively and efficiently.

  • Develop and implement strategies and roadmaps in collaboration with Product Managers to achieve business outcomes, including revenue growth and profitability targets

  • Define and recommend the target-state liquidity management operating model (cash concentration, pooling, notional/physical structures, intraday liquidity optimization) across segments (Commercial, Corporate, FI).

  • Own and enforce end-to-end delivery risk and control framework for liquidity management products

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory expectations (e.g., Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions liquidity guidance, Basel III LCR/NSFR considerations).

  • Act as the first line of defense to identify and eliminate blockers, ensuring smooth progress of initiatives, with rapid escalation when necessary.

  • Establish and maintain consistent OKRs across one or more groups of products to measure progress and success.

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging data-driven insights to refine processes, products, and strategies.

  • Work with cross-functional partners and leading product teams focused on innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, and growth.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

• 15+ years in Transaction Banking / Treasury / Cash Management within a leading international bank.

• Deep expertise in liquidity management structures (cash pooling, sweeping, notional pooling, intraday liquidity), Virtual Accounts and payments (SWIFT, EFT/ACH, Sanctions etc.)

• Proven leadership of large-scale transformation programs spanning product, technology, and operations.

• Strong understanding of balance sheet dynamics (deposits, NIM, liquidity ratios).

• Experience with cross-border liquidity frameworks (US-Canada and/or global structures).
