Involves analytical studies on a variety of policies, projects, programs and issues in support of a function, research initiative, program and / or organizational unit, or in research of new or changing systems and programs. Assists in policy and program planning, development, administration, management and implementation; interprets, monitors and analyzes information regarding policies and procedures and provides consultative services to department administrators and other stakeholders.

Join our dynamic team in the UCSF Division of Geriatrics and lead operations for our innovative online advance care planning program, Prepare for Your Care (PREPARE). As our full-time PREPARE Program Manager of Strategy and Partnerships, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Principal Investigator (PI) to sustain and expand our community, clinical, and research initiatives, with a focus on serving diverse socially and medically vulnerable older adults and their caregivers.
In this multifaceted role, you'll dive into the heart of program management, helping to develop and track program goals while playing a central role in building the program’s financial sustainability by managing foundation communications and supporting our licensees and research collaborators. Your strong organizational and interpersonal skills will be essential in forging and maintaining relationships with community-based organizations, government agencies, health systems, and industry partners to broaden PREPARE’s reach and impact.
You will also oversee consultants and collaborate with team members across a variety of key projects. These initiatives may involve website development, legal review of our easy-to-read advance directives, PREPARE content improvements, marketing efforts, and research innovations. Your responsibilities will range from overseeing project budgets and deliverables to helping write grant applications, drafting newsletters, and collecting and analyzing user feedback.
You are an excellent communicator (both verbally and in writing) and can build and sustain collaborative working relationships. You bring a wealth of technical and organizational skills, proficiency in project management tools and software, and experience with social media platforms. You also have a passion for public health and helping people have a voice in their health care. These qualities, coupled with your attention to detail, problem-solving prowess, intellectual curiosity, motivation, and adaptability, will drive our program's success.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, research administration, health policy, or related field and / or equivalent experience / training.
- 3 or more years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs, such as Smartsheet, Google Suite, Google Analytics, Microsoft 365, REDCAP, and social media applications.
- Excellent demonstrated oral and written communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
- High proficiency in working independently and with other team members. Able to build and sustain collaborative working relationships with team members and other stakeholders. Demonstrates awareness of self and others in daily behaviors to promote smooth coordination and partnership in delivering shared work products and results. Able to receive and provide feedback in ways that promote collaboration and support team and project performance.
- Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals, analyses, and reports.
- Excellent program management skills; ability to develop and see complex projects through from start to completion.
- Strong policy analysis techniques. Able to make requests and generate buy-in for
- Self-motivated, flexible, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently and independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in areas of underserved populations, public health, health care policy, marketing, licensing or similar fields
- Experience with grant writing
- Experience with social media and press releases
- Experience with InDesign
- Knowledge of advanced care planning, palliative care and/or caregiving
- Fluency in Spanish or Chinese
