JOB DESCRIPTION – Web Engineer
Location: Taguig City, Philippines
Division: TixCraft
Line Manager: Database Engineering Coordinator
Contract Terms: Permanent, 40 hours per week
This role will be supporting onsite for our Metro Manila (Taguig City) and Hybrid Mode.
THE JOB
The Web Engineer will be responsible for coordinating and driving development projects related to the web platform, ensuring that website functionality and system architecture effectively support the company’s products and business needs. This role will work closely with the product team, engineering team, and other relevant departments to translate business requirements into executable technical solutions.
As a Web Engineer, you will focus on web project planning, requirement management, and cross-team collaboration while ensuring that development progress and quality meet expectations. You should understand web technology architecture and development processes and assist the team in planning technical directions and project execution strategies. You should have a sensitivity to UI/UX design, with an eye for web aesthetics and user flow, enabling you to bridge the gap between design intent and technical implementation.
You will help identify project risks, remove development obstacles, and ensure the web platform reliably supports the company’s ticketing system and event-related services, delivering a stable and high-quality user experience.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Assist in planning and managing development projects related to the web platform
Collaborate with the product team to gather requirements and convert them into technical specifications and development tasks
Coordinate with frontend, backend, and UX/design teams, with the ability to review wireframes and prototypes critically and provide feedback on both technical feasibility and user experience considerations
Evaluate web interfaces from a UI/UX perspective, identifying usability issues and proposing improvements to enhance the overall user experience
Track project progress and milestones to ensure timely delivery
Assist in evaluating technical solutions and system architecture to support platform scalability
Identify project risks and provide improvement suggestions
Maintain project documentation, requirement documents, and technical records
Continuously optimize web development workflows and team collaboration processes to improve efficiency and quality
To adhere to quality management, safety and environmental company policies
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Technical Skills
Understanding of web application architecture and development processes
Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Understanding of modern web frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular)
Knowledge of backend systems and API integration concepts (REST API, JSON)
Basic database knowledge and SQL query skills
Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, or similar task management tools)
Basic knowledge of Linux environments is a plus
Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) is a plus
Soft Skills
Strong project and requirement management skills
Good cross-department communication and coordination skills
Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical requirements
Strong problem analysis and problem-solving ability
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Strong documentation and project tracking skills
Willingness to continuously learn and improve processes
Sensitivity to web aesthetics, layout, and user flow; able to identify UI/UX issues and communicate design feedback effectively
Ability to collaborate with designers as an informed partner, not just a technical executor
