Job Description
Who are we?
XNRGY Climate Systems is a North American leader in sustainable design and advanced manufacturing of custom air treatment systems. Focused on research and energy development, we contribute to the reduction of carbon footprints across industries.
We are excited to announce the opening of our new Technology headquarters in Mesa, Arizona. This expansion reflects our strong commitment to growth and innovation in the climate solutions industry.
Opportunity
The Principal Program Manager will play a critical role in strengthening execution across XNRGY’s most strategic customer programs.
This is a senior, high-impact role responsible for managing multiple complex, multi-project programs tied to a single customer, requiring tight coordination across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and service.
The role operates at the center of execution and accountability, driving alignment across all functions to ensure delivery performance in a fast-scaling and evolving environment.
In parallel, the Product PM will contribute to the deployment and operationalization of XNRGY’s Product Program Management model, helping to establish governance, discipline, and execution standards across the organization.
Position Overview
The Principal Program Manager is accountable for the end-to-end execution of assigned programs from feasibility validation through shipment readiness, ensuring delivery on time, on quality, and within cost expectations.
The role acts as the central driver of execution, translating customer commitments into executable plans and ensuring aligned delivery across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and service functions. Operating at the intersection of these teams, the Product PM drives coordination, enforces accountability, and ensures that all deliverables meet the required level of completeness and quality at each stage of the lifecycle.
You will work cross-functionally with Application Engineering, Sales, Finance, Sourcing, Planning, Procurement, Advanced Manufacturing, Product Engineering (Mechanical and Electrical), Supplier Quality (SQA), QHSE, and Site Leadership, as well as the extended manufacturing organization including Logistics, Fabrication (FAB), Assembly, Quality Control, HSE, and Manufacturing Engineering, ensuring seamless integration from design through production execution and final handover.
The role combines:
Horizontal leadership to align stakeholders and drive execution across all functions
Vertical authority to challenge deliverables and enforce readiness standards
Additionally, you will be responsible for validating execution feasibility prior to project release, ensuring that schedule, engineering maturity, and manufacturing constraints are aligned before programs are committed internally.
Key Responsibilities
Program Execution Ownership
Own execution of multiple complex programs from pre-release validation (G1–G2) through shipment readiness (G6)
Ensure delivery performance aligned with:
Schedule commitments
Product quality standards
Cost expectations (margin protection, not expansion)
Act as the single point of accountability for execution performance
Feasibility Validation (Pre-G2)
Validate execution feasibility before project release, including:
Schedule realism
Engineering maturity assumptions
Manufacturing readiness risks
Provide structured input to Sales PM to support aligned and executable commitments
Design Industrialization (Gate 3)
Lead DFM / DFA and design-for-manufacturability reviews
Challenge engineering readiness and drive early industrialization decisions
Initiate and enforce engineering changes (ECR/ECO/ECN) as required
Hold authority to delay progression if design is not manufacturable or sufficiently mature
Manufacturing Readiness & Execution (Gate 4–5)
Ensure full readiness for production, including:
BOM completeness and accuracy
Material availability and supply plan alignment
Manufacturing work instructions
Capacity and resource planning
QHSE controls and process readiness
Oversee validation activities:
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
Quality inspections
Documentation completeness
Production & Operational Support
Act as a key partner to site leadership once production begins
Support resolution of:
Procurement challenges
Engineering changes (internal or customer-driven)
Manufacturing issues and constraints
Facilitate decisions balancing risk, cost, and schedule impacts
Shipment Readiness & Handover (Gate 6)
Ensure a complete, accurate, and executable product and documentation package prior to shipment
Deliver a zero-surprise handover to Service, including:
Field installation documentation
Work instructions and drawings
Test and validation records
Ensure all field-installed scope is fully supported prior to shipment
Post-Shipment Performance & Deficiency Management
Maintain ownership of product-related deficiencies after shipment
Ensure:
Issues are properly tracked and escalated
Corrective actions are assigned and executed by responsible functions
Timely closure without impacting field execution
Act as primary interface with Service PM for product-related topics
Program Governance & Cross-Functional Leadership
Establish and lead program governance at all levels:
Daily execution alignment
Weekly cross-functional coordination
Monthly executive reporting
Drive:
Prioritization of activities
Escalation of risks and constraints
Timely cross-functional decision-making
Push, pull, and manage difficult conversations to ensure accountability across all functions
Operating Model Deployment
Support the deployment and continuous improvement of the Product Program Management operating model
Contribute to:
Definition of roles and responsibilities
Development of governance frameworks
Establishment of tools, templates, and reporting structures
Help build execution discipline while simultaneously delivering active programs
First 6 Months Focus
Stabilize execution across active strategic programs
Establish strong cross-functional governance and accountability
Improve manufacturing readiness and reduce execution variability
Strengthen design-to-production transition (Gate 3–4)
Improve quality and completeness of shipment and service handover
Contribute to the rollout of the Product PM operating model across programs
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a senior execution leader with strong experience managing complex, cross-functional programs in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
