Quality Engineer III
📍 Tijuana, Baja California
At Benchmark Electronics, we are looking for a talented Quality Engineer III to join our team. If you have strong experience in SMT processes and a passion for continuous improvement, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and drive quality improvements within cross-functional teams (CFT)
- Support FAI reports for new product introductions and transfers
- Manage and follow up on customer complaints
- Act as the main point of contact for customers on quality-related topics
- Approve documentation in systems such as PFS and Agile
- Support non-conforming material management (MRB)
- Generate quality alerts and containment actions (purges) as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in SMT and/or selective soldering processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Strong knowledge of:
- SMT, through-hole, and conformal coating processes
- IPC-A610 standard (expert level)
- Experience in:
- Non-conforming material management (FPY, PPMs)
- Problem-solving methodologies (8D)
- MRB, FMEA, and Control Plans
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (customer-facing)
- Internal Auditor certification (preferred)
- Experience with Agile, PFS, Power BI, and LN systems (a plus)
- Ability to work with urgency and flexibility across shifts (as needed)
