Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Regional Sales Manager is accountable for defining and executing the regional sales strategy to achieve revenue growth, margin improvement, and market diversification. The role balances strategic leadership with hands-on commercial execution, including pricing, working capital control, customer relationship management, and team development across the Western Cape region.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Ownership of regional sales, margin, debtors, inventory, and new business targets
Development and execution of the Paarl BU sales strategy and annual budget
Growth of market share and penetration into new segments and territories
Leadership, coaching, and performance management of regional sales resources
Strategic key account management and long-term contract negotiation
Cross-functional collaboration with Technical, Operations, and Regional Management
Market intelligence, innovation inputs, and product/market diversification
Leadership & Influence The role operates as a key conduit between the Sales Director (Africa), BU GM, and regional teams, providing structured reporting, forecasts, and actionable market insights.
EDUCATION AND CORE COMPETENCIES:
Matriculation Certificate (Required)
Degree or Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or related field (Preferred)
Strategic thinking and execution
Commercial acumen and financial discipline
Customer-centric leadership
Strong communication and influence
High initiative, problem-solving, and decision-making capability
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3 years’ Sales Management experience leading a medium-sized team
Strong commercial and negotiation capability
Knowledge of label printing, applications, and equipment (advantage)
Experience operating across multiple markets or countries preferred
