We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer with a technical engineering background to join our core product team. This role focuses on functional, stability, compatibility, and automation testing for SoundWire products across Windows and Linux operating systems. This role requires strong debugging capability, ownership, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
You will leverage your engineering knowledge to design and execute test plans, develop automation scripts, analyze system behavior, and isolate complex issues across drivers, firmware, operating systems, and hardware platforms. In addition, you will support customer issues investigations, WHQL certification activities, and regular software releases, which include quality assurance and release management activities.
As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, some of your responsibilities may include:
Design, develop, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases for SoundWire products.
Reproduce and validate issues reported by internal teams and customers.
Capture and document issues and validation results for engineering analysis
Support release management activities
Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and script using Python, PowerShell, Bash and related tools
Collaborate closely with Software Engineer, FAE.
Explore and apply AI-based approaches for log analysis, issue triage, test tool development and test/release automation.
Support customer escalations and urgent validation activities when required
Be comfortable working with ambiguous issues and cross-functional debugging activities
Minimum requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering preferred
Experience via software testing roles, internships, or academic engineering projects.
Basic programming or scripting experience in Python, batch, PowerShell, or similar languages
Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Good verbal and written communication skills communication and teamwork
Strong ownership mindset and attention to detail. Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
Passion for automation and continuous learning
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with Windows HLK/WHQL testing and certification submission process
Familiarity with Windows test tools, Windows driver testing, and system-level validation
Experience in using AI coding assistants (e.g. Copilot, Claude) for automation and validation workflow improvement
Knowledge of software engineering processes and the full software development lifecycle
Exposure to Windows/Linux operating system fundamentals, test automation frameworks, Audacity, LabView, Audio Precision
Hands-on with hardware platforms such as Raspberry-Pi or Arduino and basic lab equipment
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
