- Support development and commercialization of next-generation compressor technologies and residential HVAC products.
- Lead technical activities required to mature, validate, qualify, and implement new product technologies.
- Analyze compressor performance, reliability, efficiency, and field-return data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Work directly with laboratory technicians to evaluate testing results, troubleshoot issues, and support product validation activities.
- Support reliability testing efforts and ensure products meet performance, durability, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, supplier quality, procurement, marketing, program management, and engineering teams to drive project execution.
- Communicate technical information, recommendations, risks, and project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support customers in resolving application, performance, and product-related issues.
- Participate in root cause investigations of field, customer, and manufacturing issues.
- Assist with progression of projects through the new product development process.
- Drive technical problem-solving efforts while balancing multiple priorities and competing business needs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and Lean product development practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related engineering discipline.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work primarily onsite.
- Ability to travel approximately 2-3 weeks per year.
- Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, compressors, rotating equipment, appliances, or related industries.
- Product engineering or new product development experience.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, testing, reliability, or field performance investigations.
- Exposure to customer-facing technical support or supplier interactions.
- Knowledge of residential HVAC systems and compressor technologies.
