If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and make an impact, this could be the opportunity for you!

In the Commercial team, we share a “challenge accepted” mindset and are guided by our winning behaviours of simplification, collaboration, and accountability, to achieve our goals.

Your Role

As a Business Development Account Manager your core focus will be to deliver sales growth for the  Critical Care portfolio across London and the South of England, using a targeted channel mix to achieve agreed objectives. The role is accountable for developing and executing business plans, building deep and trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, and engaging internal stakeholders to support your success.

This is a truly exciting time to join our Critical Care team as we are launching a new product in oncology for the very first time. You will utilise your strategic account management approach to drive performance, focusing on priority accounts, customer engagement, market access, and advocacy. The role also involves collaborating with key stakeholders in secondary care and across the wider local healthcare system.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering sales and achieving financial targets within the assigned territory.
  • Establishing and developing trusted relationships with KOLs, HCPs and payers.
  • Creating, implementing, and continuously reviewing and adapting high-quality account plans for priority accounts, with clear KPI tracking.
  • Maintaining effective account mapping, segmentation, and prioritisation, with a clear understanding of patient pathways, treatment landscapes, and stakeholder needs.
  • Implementing an omnichannel approach to tailor engagement to customer preferences.
  • Partnering collaboratively across local, regional, and global cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
  • Ensuring full compliance with LEO processes and relevant external codes, including ABPI.
  • Driving prescribing and maximise business opportunities through effective, compliant activities.
  • Developing innovative, value-adding projects that benefit patients, stakeholders, and LEO.
  • Building market intelligence and staying agile in order to adapt to environmental challenges and opportunities.
  • Leading collaboration with internal stakeholders, including Market Access, Medical and Marketing to deliver territory and account objectives.

Please note: this role will cover key centers across London, Birmingham. Oxford, Cambridge and surrounding areas. As such regular travel across this region will be required, with approximately 60% of time spent in and around London.

Your Qualifications

  • BSc degree in life sciences, or equivalent by experience.
  • Qualified in the ABPI Code of Practice
  • Track record of successfully driving sales growth and achieving targets through multichannel customer engagement.
  • The ability to develop and execute high-quality account plans for launch and in-market products.
  • Experience of effectively mapping and developing key accounts, HCPs, KOL/KEEs and HCOs; building effective and long-term relationships across secondary care and local health stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence prescribing through the delivery of patient-focused, science-based selling, ideally within oncology.
  • Previous experience of partnering closely with internal Market Access, Medical, Marketing and other local/regional/global teams in a matrix environment.
  • Account forecasting and performance reviews experience, with a focus on execution, results and performance.
  • Experience in immunology and oncology is a significant advantage, as is product launch expertise.
  • A full driving licence is required, due to the need for regional travel.
