Salary £28,142 - £32,061 Per annum | Fixed Term 31/3/2029| Full Time - 37 hours per week

We’re looking for a dynamic, motivated Best Start in Life Development Worker to help transform outcomes for children and families across Lancashire. 

We have a full-time post in Burnley, Lancaster and West Lancs (Skelmersdale and Burscough) 
 

This is more than a job – it’s your chance to influence early childhood development, empower parents, and be part of a service that is changing lives every day.

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead and deliver impactful programmes such as PEEPs Learning Together, Triple P and EasyPeasy
  • Work directly with families to assess needs and connect them to the right support
  • Drive engagement across communities – especially reaching those most in need
  • Collaborate with partners across Family Hubs to build a joined-up support offer
  • Support and supervise a team of Parenting Education and Outreach Workers

You’ll also bring services to life in the community – delivering sessions in family hubs, outreach settings, and through creative engagement approaches to ensure no family is left behind.

We’re seeking someone who is:

  • Experienced in working with children, families, and communities
  • Confident delivering group work and navigating complex conversations
  • A people person
  • Passionate about early years, parenting, and improving outcomes for families of Lancashire
  • Skilled in leading and supporting others to deliver high-quality services
