Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Active role in deconstructing electronic components
- Translate hands on experience to find technological solutions to improve processes and procedures
- Support development by designing fixtures, software, and/or non-traditional techniques
- Make technical decisions based on skills and training in the use of test equipment and associated systems
- Notify and discuss technical problems with engineering personnel, contractors, or other government representatives as necessary
Required Qualifications:
- Vocational/technical training beyond high school in electronics or related field
- 0-1 year of experience working with electronics components
- Hands-on experience with handling and testing small parts, such as microelectronics
- Knowledge of electronic components and device operating characteristics
- Prior experience with Ionizing radiation safety and handling per DOD guidelines.
- Understanding and utilization of laboratory safety practices, including chemical safety
- Ability to work on a multidisciplinary team and engage with technicians, scientists, and engineers
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
- Ability to identify and support opportunities for process improvements through fixture design and integrating new techniques
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2- or 4-year degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or Electronics Technology
- 2-3 years of experience working with electronics components
- Active Secret Clearance
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience in laboratory environments, including operation of microscopes and other analytical equipment
- Basic knowledge of microelectronic construction and materials
Compensation Details:
$65,000-$95,000 annually
