Baptist Health is currently hiring for a PRN Patient Access Representative II to join our Adult Outpatient Rehab Services clinic teams in the Jacksonville, FL area. This Patient Access Rep II will be responsible for registration for patients, collecting co-payments, admitting patients, and updating insurance and demographics.
Shift Details: This is a float PRN position to provide coverage support to four Baptist outpatient clinic locations: Nassau, Beaches, Seven Pines, and Point Meadows. Hours vary from 7:30am-6pm, Mon-Fri. PRN positions are scheduled to work as needed and do not have a schedule of guaranteed hours every week. The hiring team does not expect consistent shift coverage. This PRN position is designed to provide scheduling flexibility for candidates while ensuring clinic coverage support for team members utilizing paid time off.
The ideal candidate would:
Enjoy scheduling flexibility,
Work a few days per month,
Cover planned team member time off (e.g., vacation),
Be available to short-notice coverage for team members who are sick and unable to come to work, and
Be willing to commute to the following outpatient rehab services clinics: Nassau, Beaches, Seven Pines, and Point Meadows.
As a Patient Access Rep II, you will be responsible for:
Accurately register all patients and update demographic and insurance information for maintenance of accurate information.
Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually
Collect co-payments, self-pay deposits, and any other form of account payments from patients.
Provides face to face customer service while communicating in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the PAS department, while Mission and core values are incorporated and practiced.
Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
Receives and disseminates clinical information as indicated.
Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Certification
Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
This position requires analytical and critical thinking, excellent customer service and communication skills.
Education & Credential Requirements:
High school diploma (or higher) Required
