Job Description
Operate Manufacturing Machines while meeting safety, Quality, and time standards. Must know the proper procedures for operating the lathe safely, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) like safety glasses and hearing protection. Understand the basic components and functions of a manual lathe, including the headstock, tailstock, carriage, toolpost, and various controls. Understand the relationship between cutting speeds, feed rates, and the material being machined. This knowledge is crucial for achieving efficient and precise results. Develop skills in using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges to take accurate measurements of workpieces.
