Job Description

Amazon Brazil is seeking a Program Manager to own the deployment of speed initiatives and operational contingency planning across all miles of the transportation network. This role ensures that speed programs loaded in OP cycles are executed on time, with proper cross-mile alignment, and that Brazil's operations maintain resilience through robust contingency mechanisms. The candidate will act as the central PM connecting planning to execution — ensuring paddings, UDDs, and mile-level configurations are aligned with speed commitments, while building and maintaining contingency playbooks that protect customer experience during disruptions. This role requires strong stakeholder management across local and international teams (ROW), operating as the connective tissue between strategy and operational deployment.

Key job responsibilities
Own the end-to-end project management of speed initiatives loaded in operational plans, tracking milestones, dependencies, and risks across all miles (FCs, First Mile, Middle Mile, Last Mile) to ensure on-time deployment of speed improvements committed in planning cycles.

Manage padding configurations and UDD alignment across all miles, ensuring that padding values reflect operational reality, speed targets are achievable, and any misalignment between miles is identified and resolved before it impacts customer promises/deliveries.

Build and maintain Brazil's operational contingency plan, partnering with central teams, and serving as a point of contact centralized for BR operations.

Drive cross-mile alignment for speed plan execution: ensuring FC departure times, Sort Center processing windows, linehaul schedules, and last-mile delivery windows are synchronized to deliver the speed promise without creating upstream or downstream bottlenecks.

Inspect and report on speed plan deployment health through WBR/MBR mechanisms — tracking which initiatives are on track, at risk, or blocked, and driving accountability across mile owners to maintain deployment timelines.

Own the contingency activation process during disruptions: coordinating across operations teams to trigger contingency protocols, adjust paddings in real-time, communicate impact to stakeholders, and lead post-event retrospectives to improve future resilience.

Maintain a risk register for all active speed initiatives, proactively identifying dependencies, resource constraints, and cross-team blockers — escalating early and proposing mitigation paths.

Document and standardize operational playbooks for recurring events (Prime Day, Black Friday, regional peaks), ensuring contingency plans are tested, updated, and ready for activation with minimal lead time.
