Job Description
- Lead full-cycle management of HVAC retrofit, replacement, and service upgrade projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and cost forecasts to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Manage project financials, including tracking costs, identifying variances, processing change orders, and maximizing profitability.
- Coordinate with customers, general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams (sales, field technicians, preconstruction, and operations) to align on scope, expectations, and deliverables.
- Oversee procurement of equipment and materials, review submittals, and ensure timely delivery to support project schedules.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety; proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact the project.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, change orders, submittals, as-builts, and close-out packages.
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications, company standards, applicable codes, and safety requirements.
- Provide clear and timely communication to stakeholders through meetings, reports, and updates on project status, risks, and resolutions.
- Mentor and support field teams, helping to resolve technical or logistical challenges during retrofit execution.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of retrofit processes, estimating accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive project management experience in commercial HVAC, mechanical contracting, or service/retrofit projects, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience with strong HVAC knowledge considered.
- Certifications/Licenses: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required; OSHA 30-hour certification encouraged; PMP or other project management certification a plus.
- Physical Demands: Primarily office-based with frequent job-site visits; ability to walk active construction/retrofit sites, climb ladders/stairs, and lift light materials as needed.
- Work Environment/Safety: Professional office with hybrid options and active job sites; must adhere to OSHA regulations, conduct hazard identification, and wear required PPE when on-site—safety is our top priority and non-negotiable. This is a safety-sensitive position.
- Strong project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and risk management.
- Solid technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, retrofit methodologies, and integration with building infrastructure.
- Proficiency with project management tools (Procore preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced service/retrofit environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $130,000 per year
