Hourly Range: $27.00 - $35.00, DOE

This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR (which generally means (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, as specified under applicable law.


Job Summary

The Process Engineering Technician III will assist engineers by providing hands-on technical support in design, development, testing and manufacturing. Runs and programs prototyping equipment in engineering lab for customer samples, new products or process improvement projects. Help plan the methodology use for testing new products/prototypes, then collect and analyze the data.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs hands-on assembly and testing of processes and manufacturing steps to build an assembly or final product
  • Creating visual aids for manufacturing that include step-by-step instructions
  • Addresses and resolves issues with production processes and/or parts.
  • Work with CAD software such as AutoCAD and Solidworks. 
  • Project Management for new development project.
  • Using 3D printer for tooling, fixturing or prototyping of new or existing parts

 

Required Skills

  • 5+ years’ experience
  • Problem solving using root cause analysis
  • Drives process improvements 
  • Able to understand and interpret engineering terminology Intellectual creativity
  • Solid customer service (internal and external) and interpersonal skills Ability to work well on a team


Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience in a technical or manufacturing environment
  • AutoCAD or Solidworks experience
  • Independent research
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Ability to analyze statistics/data

 

Experience Requirements

  • 3 years of shipping experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Acceptable driving record.

 

Education Requirements

High School diploma, GED, certified technical school or five (5) years work experience.


Physical Requirements 

  • Must be able to lift to 10 pounds.
  • Able to spend the day sitting, standing, walking, lifting, etc.
