Cook – Mt Isa Recovery Services Centre

What you will do
- Prepare nutritious meals — Cook high‑volume, balanced meals for residential participants in line with food safety requirements.
- Deliver meals on time — Serve meals promptly, following approved menus and budget guidelines.
- Plan menus — Develop menu plans for manager approval that meet nutritional and operational needs.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene — Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and compliant with Australian Food Safety Standards and TSA policies.
- Manage stock — Receive deliveries, rotate stock, and monitor food quality to meet HACCP standards.
- Support smooth operations — Contribute to a well‑run, positive kitchen environment.
What you will bring
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or willingness to work towards it)
- Experience in kitchen or catering operations
- Flexible availability — Ability to work a 7‑day rotating roster
- Minimum 1 year experience in a commercial kitchen
- Safe food‑handling knowledge
- HACCP understanding (highly regarded)
- Working With Children Check
- Driver’s licence
