This is a rare opportunity to shape brand-building at scale, balancing global ambition with local relevance.

THE ROLE

As Global Account Manager, you will play a supporting role across dentsu’s bespoke service model for our client. Partnering closely with the Global Client Lead and wider account team, you will help shape, embed, and accelerate our clients global marketing transformation across its International Brands portfolio.

We are looking for a senior media leader with proven experience across global through-the-line planning, complex stakeholder management, and multi-market delivery. The right person will combine strategic clarity with resilience, maturity, diplomacy, and the ability to build trusted relationships across Heineken, dentsu, and partner agency teams.

Role Purpose:

The Global Account Director provides senior leadership across Heineken’s International Brands, based in Amsterdam. The role is focused on creating alignment across global brand teams, markets, disciplines, and creative agency partners to deliver stronger marketing outcomes and growth for the client.

Key accountabilities :

This role is the senior client-facing lead across Heineken’s International Brands in Amsterdam, combining hands-on account leadership with the ability to coordinate strategy, digital, and account management teams across multiple workstreams.

  • Lead day-to-day account delivery across multiple projects, brands, and markets.

  • Deploy global through-the-line planning frameworks, helping markets localise them effectively and commercially.

  • Guide cross-disciplinary teams across strategy, partnerships, insights, data, martech, operations, and account management.

  • Build trusted senior relationships with Heineken stakeholders, dentsu teams, and agency partners.

  • Identify opportunities to bring in specialists, develop new workstreams, and strengthen dentsu’s contribution.

  • Support the integration of data-driven planning and optimisation approaches, including closer collaboration with Amplify and the Global Media Centre of Excellence, to improve agility, learning, and marketing effectiveness.

  • Share market intelligence, best practice, and strategic insight across the network.

Professional Skills:

The ideal candidate will bring strong global account management credentials, deep media planning expertise, commercial instinct, and the relationship skills to lead confidently across markets, functions, and partner agencies.

  • Strong global through-the-line media planning experience across brand, media, activation, and multiple markets.

  • Proven success leading international clients and cross-functional teams in matrixed environments.

  • Experience working with client teams, media partners, and agency partners across creative, social, search, and PR.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and senior influencing skills.

  • Strategic, solution-focused, commercially aware, and confident using data and insight to improve effectiveness.

  • High emotional intelligence, sound judgement, resilience, and the ability to build trust through direct conversations.
