Overview:
Responsible for scheduling appointments, routing telephone calls, receiving patients, and performing various other administrative functions.
Job duties included:
- Answers the telephone in a friendly and compassionate manner.
- Accurately takes telephone messages and forwards them to the appropriate co-worker.
- Confirms the next day's appointments for the physicians and lab.
- Reschedules appointments for physicians as their schedules change.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of physicians scheduling templates by accurately scheduling the patient's problems according to physician directives.
- Directs patients to the CBO account representatives when a flasher is discovered on the patient's account.
- Promptly notifies the clinic co-workers regarding physician schedule changes.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
- Performs job functions in a manner which is consistent with protecting patient confidentiality.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of Epic referrals by consistently working the referral report.
